Robin Morgan is the author of Sisterhood Is Powerful, Sisterhood Is Global, and Sisterhood Is Forever: The Women's Anthology for A New Millennium, as well as A Hot January: Poems; Saturday's Child: A Memoir; The Demon Lover: The Roots of Terrorism; a historical novel, The Burning Time; and the nonfiction book, Fighting Words: A Tool Kit for Combating the Religious Right. An award-winning poet, feminist activist, journalist, editor, and best-selling author, Morgan has published more than 20 books.
A recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Prize (Poetry) and a former Editor-in-Chief of Ms. magazine, she co-founded The Sisterhood Is Global Institute with Simone de Beauvoir. She also co-founded (with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem) The Women's Media Center. She writes and hosts Women's Media Center Live with Robin Morgan, a nationally syndicated radio broadcast.
Morgan is assembling a book of her essays and has just completed a novel as well as a book of poems.
She lives in New York City.
Robin Morgan will be in conversation with Farai Chideya at the Milford Theater on Saturday September 16th at 12:15pm to 1:30pm. And at 4:30pm to 5:45pm there will be a Plenary Panel featuring all six main stage writers.
