Our community is filled with beauty. All you need to do is step out of your car, and check out the scenery. Our waterfalls, our private beach and lakes, glistening icicles in the winter, and the colors of fall. Word is that our foliage is breathtaking - pure beauty. And we have one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, the Hotel Fauchere, right here - smack dab - in the middle of town. But nothing tops the beauty of the folks who live here.
We are a gracious plenty.
We lift each other, we support each other, we champion each other.
We nurture each other.
We are small mighty town with an enormous amount of goodness.
A little over three months ago Sean Strub reached out in an e-mail asking if anyone would like to contribute their time and energy and talent to a Readers & Writers Festival. He wanted to create a little magic; bring folks together, fill the town with words of beauty.
Sean Strub is our heartbeat, our foundation, our soul.
All hands went up.
That's the kind of town we live in.
All hands go up.
What we lack in designer clothing stores we make up for in designer humans.
So, here's to you, the designer humans who raised their hands and helped create magic:
Stuart Bernstein, Colin Dickerman, Roland Edwards, Jr., Lillian Longendorfer, Ashley Lotz, Vera Moret Frendak, Michelle Oram, Nancy Pinchot, Cindy Stine, Diana Weiner, Barbara Whitney, Ruby Lynn Willis, Rocco Zappile, Barbara Zappile, Jennifer C. Ziegler, Michael Trenner.
Barbara DeVries: designer human extraordinaire.
We always rise to the occasion in our little town, because YOU are all the occasion we rise up to.
